Introduction
Baptist Village Retirement Communities is an agency of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. The governing body is a twenty member Board, elected by the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. Our original charter reads in part –
“The principal object of said corporation shall be to acquire by purchase, donation, exchange, construction or otherwise, and thereafter to own, maintain and operate institutions suitable for the reception, care and maintenance of persons of advancing age…by providing housing and/or healthcare.”
Baptist Village was established out of a conviction by Georgia Baptists that God intended His people to be concerned about ministry to His “older children”. Having been led to establish such a ministry as this, we endeavor daily to demonstrate the love of God through the care of, and association with, our residents. It is the mission of Baptist Village to provide a continuum of care in a manner that honors God and provides our residents and staff the opportunity to develop spiritually, physically and socially.
